Owner Comments
A beautiful boat to look at and own, well known locally and much admired. Raced by her first owner, and then lightly cruised by the next owners. Layed up under cover and unused for several years, recommisioned and greatly enjoyed, for day sailing, by our family last year, I am the third owner. A wonderful thing to sail, if you haven’t tried it, a Folkboat will make you smile! I sailed this boat, with crew and single handed, twice a week throughout last summer, and I shall be sorry to let her go. Nordic Folkboats are still in production so spares and upgrades are readily available. Larkspur is basic; there are no electronics to distract from the pure joy of Folkboat sailing. But equally, if you are into gadgets, then she is a clean sheet, ready for all the latest tech, with no old, out of date stuff needing to be updated! All the woodwork was properly revarnished last year (Epiphanes), and still looks good. If you like to keep things simple then she is ready to go, just as she is. The Standing Rigging was replaced when the boat was layed up by the prev owner, it had it’s first season of use last year, so practically new. The important bits of running rigging replaced 2023, new Halyards and Mainsheet, new Barton Blocks etc. Bunk cushions stored at home, recently re-upholstered and virtually unused.
