Owner's Notes
We have sailed 'Prelude' with great enjoyment in the UK's largest
Nordic Folkboat fleet since 2007, based in Lymington.
She is up-to-date with
sails, control lines and equipment,
and ready to race tomorrow. She is
competitive with the right crew on board. We have equipped her with main and jib halyards led to the cockpit, to
give easier adjustment for a light-weight crew, and to facilitate mainsail
reefing when cruising. Dual 6:1 and 3:1 mainsheet system gives excellent
control in all conditions.
Most of our sea miles have been in club racing,
Round the Island (five times), and Folkboat Week. However we have cruised
'Prelude' pleasurably in the Solent, and she could easily travel further,
equipped with her navigation lights, portable loo, gas cooker, tent cover and reefing main.
